San Antonio Art Museum Expansion

The concept for a new Asian Art wing featured a double- thickness glass volume addition to be perched on top of the existing museum building, a converted brewery . Internal links and congruence of the visitor experience were important considerations. Stacking Chinese over Japanese art, the galleries have a double height interior garden.
